Sous Chef / Kitchen Lead Copper Shaker Ybor Copper Shaker Ybor is looking for a Sous Chef / Kitchen Lead to join our team and help lead a fast-paced, high-volume kitchen. We’re looking for someone who loves food, knows how to lead a team, and takes pride in doing things the right way. This is a hands-on position where you’ll be cooking, leading service, training the team, and making sure every plate leaving the kitchen meets Copper Shaker standards. What You'll Do * Lead the kitchen team during service. * Maintain food quality, consistency, and presentation. * Run the kitchen confidently when the Chef is off. * Train and hold cooks accountable to recipes and standards. * Manage prep, inventory, organization, and food quality. * Keep the kitchen clean, safe, and running efficiently. * Communicate with management and the front-of-house team. * Help control food costs and minimize waste. * Lead by example and help create a positive kitchen culture. What We're Looking For * Previous Sous Chef, Lead Cook, or strong Line Cook experience. * Strong leadership and communication skills. * Ability to stay calm and organized during busy service. * Passion for quality food and consistency. * Reliable, accountable, and willing to get your hands dirty. * Available for nights, weekends, and high-volume shifts. * Someone who can **step up and run the kitchen when the Chef isn't there.** Why You Should Work at Copper Shaker This isn't just another kitchen job.
